Mumbai is a place of glamour, chaos and miracles. A lot of merriment can be found in and around the city. The city has lots of options for wonderful weekend trip without spending significant time on the travel. There is so much to explore in and around Mumbai for the Hodophiles.

Start from a place bursting with nature. Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali, one of the major national park within city limits, gives you an escape from the constant hubbub of the city. The rich flora and fauna, accessible public recreation zones, mini train, mini zoo, boating, cycling and other activities available here makes it a great spot with something for everyone. Enjoy trekking, amazing city views from Kanheri Canves and Jungle Safaris, a perfect day at a cool spot.

Another get away is Elephanta Caves, very well-arranged escape from city bustle for heritage lovers. Start your journey right from Mumbai Harbour, an hour-long comfortable ferry ride from the Gateway of India to the wonderland of Shaivite sculptures, beautiful carvings with rock-cut caves, it is nothing short of cultural experience.

For a traveller who wishes for a rush of adrenaline and does not want to venture far for it, we suggest theme parks like Essel World and Water Kingdom. Journey being as beautiful as the destination is, start your way at Gorai, Borivali west, where a 20 minute ferry ride will transport you to your day. An ideal spot where the whole family can enjoy exhilarating roller coasters and water rides and wholesome fun. Right beside it, a peace lover's paradise, Pagoda center at Gorai is a monumental place to visit.
